Candle Maintenance

We recommend the following tips for burning your new candle:

  • Before lighting your sculptural candle, place it on a plate or candle tray that will catch any wax that may drip.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit overnight. If you leave the room or go to bed, be sure to blow out all the candles first. Use a candle snuffer, if available, as this is the safest way to avoid splashing hot wax.
  • Don't burn a candle all the way through. For safety reasons, stop burning a candle when 1.5 cm of wax remains.
  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
  • Keep the candle out of the reach of children and pets.

Continued use:

  • When not in use, place your candle out of direct sunlight and nearby heat sources, as this may discolor your candle.
  • Before relighting the candle, we recommend trimming the wick 2-3 cm from the surface of the wax, to ensure a constant smoke-free flame.
  • We advise you to burn the candle for a maximum of 3 hours each time.

Please note that our candles are handmade and may vary in appearance and color. Please also note that "frosting" may occur and this is not a fault of the spark plug. This is a natural effect of using rapeseed wax and does not affect the performance of your candle in any way.
